35,000 young people will travel around Europe for free
Applications are now open for the European Commission's DiscoverEU campaign, which gives 35,000 young people the chance to get a free rail pass to explore Europe.
The application deadline is March 29, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. The call is open to applicants from countries of the European Union and from third countries associated to the Erasmus+ programme, such as Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia and Turkey.
- The first requirement is that young people were born between 1 July 2004 and 30 June 2005. Applications are made through the European Youth Portal.
- The second requirement for candidates is to answer a five-question quiz and a decisive question.
Those approved will be able to travel in Europe for up to 30 days between June 15, 2023 and September 30, 2024.
